steel m8, Cheetah and NOOB has had the same prob.
I "think" its not starting when starting call of duty check to see if its in your processes when Call Of Duty is running.

I think NOOB just rebooted his pc and it let him back in.

But Clov!s would be ya man for this ;)

right, u need to download pbsetup for client and then for cod5 and update them. download from www.evenbalance.com

At the moment, my only suggestion is to replace Some or All of the PB files in your games PB folder with someones who does have the problem.
Here (http://www.zen113360.zen.co.uk/COD5_PB_21Feb09.rar) is my Entire PB folder for CoD:WaW (http://www.zen113360.zen.co.uk/COD5_PB_21Feb09.rar) as of today.
I would suggest that you first back up your current folder.

You could just try replacing the PnkBstrK.sys file in the PB folder, then give it a try.
Otherwise, then replace all the files with the ones from the links above.
Hopefully this should fix it.

But is that does work, maybe try replacing the PnkBstrK.sys file in the C:\Windows\System32 directory.
Again here (http://www.zen113360.zen.co.uk/PnkBstrK_Sys32.rar) is mine PnkBstrK.sys (http://www.zen113360.zen.co.uk/PnkBstrK_Sys32.rar) as of today, but first backup your current file as it may be a different version to what your other games may require.
