I've installed COD4 on my gaming rig, which is now running Vista 64.
On first installation of the game and patching to 1.6 then 1.7, it lets me connect and play the game, once I exit and reboot it then gives an errror after loading the infinity and activision logo, it crashes out and says "couldnt load image 'cobra_nml'
It's fully patched and everything is updated.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Trev did you add your old profile or are you starting from scratch in ranking?

Just an update after another install of COD4, I have now patched it to from 1.0 to 1.6 and then 1.7.
I can play in the servers, however I get the iw3mp.exe (chk spellin) error and it only seems to be on one map - Chinatown.
Clov!s suggested checking my iw files and i'll have a look at this tonight.
i get that error when i disconnect my headset, think because i installed it with headset plugged in, if i play without the headset plugged in, i get that same message :stupid:

You both running Vista 64, because I have seen the mic plugin issue around. Didnt know it was headphones also.
Wouldnt the issue be the audio, be the settings changing from one to the other?
