I own Colin Mcrae rally 2.0
TOCA1,2,3
gt legends,gta1
Not just on-line gaming, but stand alone with a wheel etc.
What is the best saloon racing gaming in which you can use a steering wheel and is not so difficult you cannot race .
I like the rally series of games and apart from my flight sims, I want a simulator that will use my computer specs to the full.
Online racing is fun but I want to race evo's Suburu's etc, not some made up playstation cartoon car.
Has anyone got C.Mcrae 2005?
Is anyone going to buy GRID?

Anyone tried richard Burns rally, with the latest computer build?
What do your members think is the best?

Bit advanced for me, i like Burnout and need for speed most wanted, used to have a wheel and the pedals but too awkward for my 6ft 4" frame. I would say xbox/ps3 are better for racing than pc's.

Track Mania United offers all seven original Track Mania environments, including Desert, Stadium and Rally, while the "Forever" add-on brings a spectacular graphical overhaul for these three environments originally released with the first Track Mania. It's a real face lift for these three historical and extremely popular Track Mania environments. As for content, Track Mania United Forever is very generous, as it includes new solo campaigns, numerous new official tracks and new track and background blocks that add even more variety and possibilities when creating fresh Track Mania tracks.

I loved GT Legends, and GTR2 but they were to involved for me, I had a great giggle with the toca series, depends what your after bob, arcade or sims.
Track Mania is great for a giggle involves a bit of thought on some tracks, but its superb getting a few mates in TS and avin some banter.

Yup GTR2 and GT legends take to much time for praccy and then to get a decent enough setup up to compete for the win Like Lazy said 5-6 days a week praccy for 2 tracks in the same car and then we would only be a few tenths between the top 3-4 drivers
Excellent racing though loved it :)

Grid demo looked good for casual gamers, but loads of the same old problems. Poorly ported from graphically inferior consoles like Xbox 360 and PS3, so no SLi. No dedi server. No anti cheat.
As for the GTR series, nice realism for dedicated sim players, poorly implemented graphics based on ancient gaming engine and appalling network code for online play.
I have to say Bob that the more arcade type games appeal more for me with the exception of Track Mania than the sims for fun.

LOL @ CHUNKYBOY harking back to the olds when he used to play games gtr 1 toca 2
the network code has moved on a little and with a private dedicated server we've had 10 - 15 people running flawlessly
them pesky German' run 32 man server's and have
developed a pro gramme that D'Ls everything in there server to your game file and installs for ya as well 1 click updates for tracks and car's
http://www.pilsbierbude.de/component/option,com_frontpage/Itemid,1/lang,en/
you could also play your own championships as well with any of the cars and they all mix on the servers as well
and they also do RACE 07 /Rfactor in this way pure brilliance

Im so out of touch with racing now, this is how I started my gaming, I would love to come back on to motor racing.
Isnt there a new Gran Turismo due, is that online for pc?
or do i have to buy a ps3?
Dirt looked ok, dunno whether I can justify buying a new console to play it though, I only had my 360 for about 2 months......lol.....bored.
Is ps3 worth buying just to play a few games on?....dont think so.
Be a laugh to race against all u guys.

Forza 2 is the best driving game by far at present for the 360 :)
