I currently use two Samsung SM2433BW monitors, which are 24" 1920 x 1200 resolution.
However they only have DVi and VGA inputs, and I would like to get a 3rd monitor, and run all them digital via DVi, and HDMi from the two Grig and Carling in Deskee.
But the question is would you really notice the difference when gaming if the resolution drops from 1920x1200 to 1920x1080
your thoughts please.

I know the pixel number for the width is higher, and thats because it is a 16:10 ratio monitor, and there are lots of 23/24" monitors which are 16:9.
But does it make a difference?

Think you need some more schooling,
it's 120 different.
As for difference in on viewing range, etc.
16:10 = 1920x1200
16:9 = 1920x1080
So in theory, you would get more picture on the top and bottom of the screen.
For example, if you watch a standard 16:9 movie, you'll get black borders, top and bottom.
As for whether you have more picture in games, it depends on how the coders set the Aspect Ratio and FOV (Field of View) calculation in the game.
For example most FPS games are around 55 - 70° Degrees viewing angle.
Usually if you increase the Viewing angle, you get more of the viewable picture top and bottom anyway.
But if you don't tweak the FOV in the games, then obviously you should get more picture with a 16:10 monitor.
