Possibly your best deal for a DS will be somewhere like Argos or HMV with a package deal, or Ebay
Red One here for £70.99 - Graded product (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nintendo-DS-Lite-Red-Console-UK-Powerseller-/120539324553?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_VideoGames_VideoGameConsoles_VideoGameConsol es&hash=item1c10b42089)
Red One Currys £89.99 Brand New (http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/nintendo-ds-lite-red-00852702-pdt.html?srcid=867&xtor=AL-89)
The R4 card you can get from http://www.r4card-uk.com/

Buy your Flashcards from Xpertron.co.uk, never had any problems, and do not purchase an R4, the team was disbanded years ago and it is only clones on the market. Choose the EDGE card or CycloDS, safest and most reliable bets :D DS consoles you can pick up quite regularly as Trev said :)

Only buy from Xpertron, they are trusted UK wide, and an iEDGE from there isn't much different. And supports an upgrade to run on DSi's as thats what I use. And if you lived closer I could've sorted you out in work with a fully re-furbed P/O Black one :)
iEDGE (http://www.xpertron.co.uk/iedge-ds-for-uk-eu-pal-dsi-and-nds-lite-edgei/iedge-compatible-with-dsi-firmware-14.html) more than worth its weight and plus there are now fake iEDGE's flying around now and that website you posted has been flagged for them, and they don't work correctly.
Go here for in GBAtemp.net (http://gbatemp.net/f183-edge) and thats the EDGE discussion forum.
Hope this helps Icy, but its always reliability before pricing I go, because buying two is normally more expensive than a proper decent single purchase :) plus I also recomment using a Kingston 8GB Class 4 card for speed and reliability :)
Sorry for going on about it, but a topic I know a lot about.

aah i was looking on xpertron but it said the old school EDGEs were out of stock, didnt think to look at the the IEDGE lol.
Righty I've played the order of the iEDGE from xpertron, found a class 6 sd mirco in my draw so i'll use that to start with before i spend more money on one i dnt need.
and ordered the re-furbed one from gamestation as i've ordered their second hand stuff before and they are all in pretty damn good nick.
haha i actually saw that forum while researching and noticed you replying in their, i book marked the page coz someone posted step by step instructions that i was gonna use if the xpertron ones failed lol.
Cheers for ya help mate they should all arive by tuseday now i've ordered them so i might have to rattle ur cage if anything goes wrong. just looking forward to designing my vinyl stickers for it :D gonna look siiickkck
also any recommendations on any homebrew apps or rom sources??
thanks x

Icy gimme a shout and I'll run you through it, and there's no step by step needed for using the iEDGE on a DSLite as it doesn't have an upgradeable firm ware loaded to the Console only the DSi, its a simple OS drop on to the MicroSD and away it'll go.
Need any help, I'll lend my services, just gimme a shout on TS :)
