Well i'm kind of cross and angry because what was ment to be a plesurable night of gaming turned out to be a nightmare. As many of you are aware we went to play the match the other night and could not download the map. Why I will never know cos I had it before??
As a result the download from the mirror screwed up my system after taking ages to load and consequently I been on my PC all day trying to fix it cos everything has stopped working and got FUBAR!!!
I appear to be at a stage now where everything is sort of working, however kind of temprimental but for some reason my c: drive is full so some stuff wont work and certain periferals, ie the hardware will not register.
What I want to know is was this malicious? Because if so I want the bastards.
I tried to get back in game last night but COD had stopped working all together. I am about to try now.
ANY WAY IF THE GAME WENT AHEAD I HOPE WE WON.

fingers crossed this time. Think I solved it. I appear to have coppies of everything on the hard drive.

Sorry Silver havent been around to reply, the mod wouldnt harm your installation, in all the time I have played FPS online with a PC. A mod has never screwed uo the actual PC, may of changed a few things on loading screens but thats was never permanent.

Hope you get it sorted, my gaming rig, I have had to re-install completely due to all the blue screens I was getting, (well not blue really, due to Win 7 new blank screen).

I did actually get a game with Clovis On Monday but using works PC at the moment. I will keep trying to sort it but may have to do a re install. I take it I will loose all my class etc. Oh well. Hope you feeling better Toesy.

Backup this Directory and files within:
E:\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players

CoD: MW2
Try backing up these Directories:
D:\Valve\Steam\userdata
D:\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\common\call of duty modern warfare 2\players

My directories are examples, yours may differ:
Think you may retain your rank on MW2 anyway (might be backed up on steamcloud?)
